Commander’s Message
Comrades,
It is with some degree of sorrow that today I write my final newsletter as Commander of your post. I am honored that you elected me to serve this past year and I’m thankful for the great team of officers you elected to serve with me. We have done our best during this crazy year of Covid lockdowns and shutdowns. We lost several of our comrades, but we have pulled together like a real team and persevered.
The work of our order marches on. On June 3rd, we make our monthly trip to Liberation Veterans Services to serve dinner and fellowship with our less fortunate brothers. This trip needs some help because a few of the regulars will be at the state convention. If you think you’re having some hard times, come talk to these guys and you may find out how blessed you really are. Be at the post at 6 PM if you can help out. Our trip to Lonesome Dove will be on June 30th. We serve lunch and assist with disabled veteran’s horse riding therapy. The van usually leaves about 9 AM.
