I can’t believe it’s 2024!! The Holiday Season is over and some are gearing up for next year. Not me – one holiday at a time! So, I’m hoping each of you had a wonderful joyous season.
We had a busy December with parties and celebrations. The Post Party was well attended and everyone seemed to be having fun and enjoying themselves. The Wreaths Across America Ceremony was beautiful and the weather could not have been better. We had a record 106 children come out to play bingo and see Santa. Several Members went to the Altria Theater where they enjoyed the Richmond Pops Holiday Concert. The Post had a New Years Eve Party and we ended in time for everyone to get home safely and watch the ball drop on the TV.
Continue recruiting, reminding members to renew their dues, and encourage annual members to become life members. If they are already a Life Member tell them about the Legacy Life Membership Program. Are you a Legacy Life Member? See a Post Officer to become one.
Remember, we are required by National Headquarters to reach 102% in membership. It will take all Post Members to achieve this requirement.
The Post continues to support Liberation and Lonesome Dove. We could use some additional help with these missions. See Ron Scoville for Liberation and Ray Dawson for Lonesome Dove.
Bingo is our main source of income. It takes a lot of volunteers to run it twice a week. These few volunteers are getting a little worn out and could use a break. Can you come once a month and help? See Coretta Lankford and let her know when you can join the team. We need YOU!
This past year, 2023, was busy and full of activities. Let’s add a few more adventures to our calendar. I look forward to seeing each of you in 2024.
